THE ROSWELL UFO INCIDENT AT LIGHTSOURCE SF

The Roswell UFO Incident chapter from my in-progress project, The American Imagination (renamed Beneath a Paper Moon) was on display at LightSource (1661 Tennessee Street, #2W in San Francisco) from September to October 2019.

Beneath a Paper Moon visualizes a wide variety of American stories in a bid to shed light on America's still young storytelling tradition. LightSource hosted the inaugural exhibition of this project, featuring the chapter that considers the Roswell UFO incident that considers how the world's first detonation of the nuclear bomb in White Sands, New Mexico gave rise to enduring UFO myths in the area.
